Exit to Paradise

everyday is like monday

everyday is like monday

romeo is a deadman features romeo
and a juliet
many juliets
it turns out
juliet is a space-time fugitive
and many different multiversal version of her appear
and romeo gets tasked with dispatching them
he doesn’t think it’s killing her
it’s returning her
he’s looking for his specific juliet
he talks with the juliets he meets
and nearly falls in love with them
but then it falls apart at some point
and devolves into a boss fight

it’s weird how memories work
and change
and create different versions of the same person
in the end
there’s nothing objective about recall
there may not be any truth left to it
it can all just be
current feeling

for all the different juliets
whether they were shown in game or not
and despite how much juliet was built up as the main antagonistic force
at the beginning of the game
there’s a strange comfort
in how despite it all
she isn’t the final boss
